Change Your Air Filter Regularly

These are the most common air filters found in residential homes throughout Texas. To keep your system running efficiently—especially during peak air conditioning season—they should be changed at least once a month.

A dirty filter restricts airflow, which can cause your evaporator coil to freeze up, even if nothing else is wrong with your system. That means reduced cooling, higher energy bills, and potential breakdowns.

Filters are typically located in the ceiling or wall return vents, making them easy to access and replace. If you don’t find them there you will find them at your furnace or air handler.
